Hi, I am Ayman Attia!

I am a Physics PhD student at Purdue University working in theoretical atomic, molecular, and optical physics. I did my undergraduate degree in physics and information engineering at Zewail City of Science and Technology, Egypt.

My research focuses on understanding how light-matter quasi-particles known as polaritons behave in different environments and the collective phenomena that emerge from their interactions. More broadly, I am interested in complex systems and how simple underlying rules give rise to rich behavior.

Outside of research, I enjoy reading philosophy, mathematics, and the foundations of science. Through this blog, I hope to write about the ideas I work on, the things I read, and some of my own philosophies and beliefs. I hope you enjoy reading my blog!
